About Peace Country Installations

My name is Dylan Nixon, and I founded Peace Country Installations at 27 years old after spending nearly a decade working in the telecommunications industry across Northern Alberta.

The goal of starting this company is simple — to give back to the community by helping people stay connected through installing and setting up the communication equipment they have purchased, including Starlink systems and rural cell signal boosters, while offering honest, reliable service at fair pricing.

Living in Grande Prairie, I know firsthand how frustrating unreliable internet and poor cell service can be, especially for rural homes, farms, and small businesses. That's why I focus on practical, real-world solutions that actually work in northern conditions, whether it's mounting and aligning customer-supplied Starlink dishes or installing and optimizing customer supplied signal booster systems for stronger and more reliable coverage.

This company isn't a big corporation. It's a local startup built on trust, hard work, and showing up for people when they need help staying connected. The guys working alongside me are some of the most trusted people I've known and worked with in the telecommunications industry. Everyone on our team also holds current fall arrest certifications and other required safety tickets to help ensure every installation is completed as safely as possible.

Outside of work, I'm proud to be involved in the community by playing rugby with the Grande Prairie Centaurs. Being part of the team reflects the same values I bring to my business — teamwork, accountability, and supporting the people around me.

At the end of the day, Peace Country Installations is about helping our neighbours properly install the equipment they've invested in, improve their connectivity, and stay connected, while supporting local families, farms, and businesses across Northern Alberta.
